This season, we participated in a number of events, such as the US Science and Engineering Festival, the Animal Allies Build Day at the USPTO, and the FLL Open House at Newton-Lee Elementary. Along with that, we also mentored two other FLL teams, Team Violet Blast and The LEGO Leopards.

For the 2016 season, we decided to create CorEmojis for our Core Values concept. Each team member was to create a CorEmoji that represented the given Core Value. CorEmojis are basically emojis that correspond to the different Core Values. In order to get a CorEmoji, a team member must not only meet all the criteria required for that CorEmoji, but also demonstrate that criteria both in and out of FLL. The objective of the CorEmojis is to get team members to demonstrate Core Values more frequently. Each CorEmoji is a free ticket that never expires and it is the pass to playing our game “PAC-Bee” at the tournaments that we go to.
